Honouring Margaret Cliff

This Thursday 17th November is the 60 year Anniversary of the Forestville RSL Memorial Playing Fields, and it's when our netball courts will be officially named in honour of one of our treasured Life Members, Margaret Cliff OAM.

The event starts at 5pm where Members of Northern Beaches Council, Forest Netball Club and Manly Warringah Netball Association will celebrate this well-deserved tribute to Margaret.

Margaret is a stalwart of Forest Netball Club, where she has served for over 50 years and is also a current committee member of the Forestville RSL Memorial Playing Fields Committee. She has held a position on this committee in excess of 25 years.

Margaret has also been a valued Executive Member of Manly Warringah Netball Association for in excess of 25 years, and now still an "Active Life Member,” on various Sub-Committees and responsible for looking after the Association’s history. She has been awarded with both an Australian Sports Medal (2000) and an Order of Australia Medal (2020) for services to netball.

The official renaming of our courts will honour the incredible commitment to both netball and the community by Margaret over the last 50+ years.

We encourage our wonderful Club Members to join us to celebrate this special occasion with Margaret. Meet us at the netball courts at 5pm this Thursday 17th November.
